Hardwired my radar detector. Proved to be a bit more difficult because I didn't get power through the sunroof wire (because I have no sunroof), most likely because there is no fuse...or whatever.
Did an Add-A-Circuit and plugged it into the fuse box, wired up through the A Pillar and we are all good now.
As well,

installed a BMW Performance SSK as well on the E82. Absolutely in love with it, feels just like my E86 now
Also did some hardwiring . . . got my charge-and-play iPod 30-pin dock connector cable neatly tucked away behind & into the glovebox & tapped to the glovebox flashlight's switched +12 V. No more extraneous cabling in my cabin!
Ordered the $569.04 windshield, trim, cowl and misc cowl piece's at the dealership, set up an appointment to have it installed on the 21st! Not looking forward to $75/hour and various quotes of time from various service people, anywhere from 3 to 5 hours. Ridiculous, but if they break it, its their problem, if it whistles, its their problem, etc, etc, etc...
Also, as of last night I had gotten my final coat of wax on the car. I had to remove it by hand though as I burned up my orbital... Car still looks pretty good though. Today I have to finish cleaning the wheels, put them back on, and then start on the interior. Also still have to do a full Rain-X treatment on the glass. So much to do, so little time!
Interesting that it cost that much for the glass. I believe I was quoted around 400 or so for the glass itself not the other pieces as well. Again different dealers quote different prices and if you are a repeated customer they would charge a different amount as well. Hopefully in the next few years we shall see if BMW can change their dealership experience to a better one. :)
I considered "upgrading" to the auto stuff for about 3.5 seconds, looks like a mess IMO. I've never had that stuff and I've owned the car for nearly 7 years; so I'm passing on that. I'd rather allocate those funds to other issues with the car that need addressing.
I don't have the receipt in front of me, but I believe the glass was $410, the other stuff is the trim, cowl, cowl bits and tax.
