The A pillars from factory are covered in black cloth. They are not alcantara.

Yeah I just bought a roll of genuine alcantara fabric and decided to redo everything in that material instead.

I went with anthracite 9002 which matches the original color of the zhp alcantara boots and steering wheel.

This was the place I ordered the samples and then the final material for the parts that require the unbacked foam fabric.

I have not decided if I want to backed fabric for the headliner and sunroof shade/cover yet

Good suggestion! I'll have to check it out. My one local BMW dealership typifies the greedy overcharging take the customer for all you can get types. Concord BMW (Calif). In fact, I originally ordered my ZHP thru them, but I kept getting the run around and canceled my order and went with a dealership in Berkeley and was treated much better-Weatherford BMW. Although they're still local, its far enough away from me to make it a pain to buy from them.

I'll have to do more shopping around to see how it all pans out. Those trim pieces are low on the totem pole as I've got a few bigger fish to fry at the moment under the hood.

The part # for the inserts is: 51-43-7-902-805 (same for left and right). I paid $19.22 for each one back in 2015.
