Lol in BC you have a nice summer.
In Mexico for the week. Still haven't had any contact through email from State Farm. When I do I will most likely have to fight for a little bit to get the dollar amount that the car is worth. Then I will move on the Porsche 951 or a decent e46 M3.

They see me trollin'...
Believe it or not, Porsche was my first love. Wanted an early 930 turbo before the prices went through the roof. And I'm glad I didn't get one, because I would probably have died long ago.

I want to be lost to porsche... :drool
Although this is Justin's ZHP thread thanks to the guys for all the legit SMG info.
There are so many SMG haters on M3 forums its hard to get any real info.
Another reason we have a great forum.

993 turbos seem to be exploding now too. My buddy has a low milage one and after a year of ownership he can probably double his money.
Which is his issue....keep it or sell and buy a new cayman GTS and have some money left over.

nuts. although, 993 values have been 'exploding' for quite some time now - really, ever since the 996's were released. if you can get over the styling (both interior and exterior), the 996 is a great value - just make sure it's a 2002+.
i regularly pine for a 964RS... oh, porsche. dang you.
peter
Funny enough no coin was involved.....he traded a 993 non turbo auto and a 930 slant nose for it.
The 993 base like 35k miles on it and I think the vue of the two cars he traded was like 60kish......
But damn.....28 and a turbo? Dude knows what's up.

Practicing law gets you the fun things, I guess!
Thats a sweet deal, although I would have kept the 930 flachbau...was it factory built or an aftermarket conversion?

Not at all. Other than a gt3 rs the turbo is his dream car.

State Farm. I was told that when the car was transferred to their storage, the adjuster didn't get notified. So his earliest available date to see the car was on Friday. Expected something today. But its still before noon EST. Waiting another hour. In the mean time I'm enjoying the rain and thunder in Cabo San Lucas...:(

Haha that's funny!
I drank yesterday, but today I woke up with a pretty decent hangover :/
The muscle relaxer I'm taking doesn't prohibit fun drinking. Plus I'm with my mother and sister.
It really is beautiful here on the resort. I think I'm gonna go to the spa and get a massage. Maybe that will relieve a lot of the tension in my back.

LOL quit thinking about insurance and just enjoy Cabo!! When my car was totalled I was having fun in Montreal when I got the text from the body shop who estimated it.
"You're buying me lunch when you get back, the car is officially written off."
LOL. I screamed for joy in the TSA lineup at Montreal international report.
It's hard to fully enjoy when my back is killing me. And for that reason alone I want to know if my car is a write off. But I'm taking in the views we are going to a safe access beach this afternoon. Can't wait to swim in the Pacific.

If my car is ever involved in an accident (knocks on wood) I would want it to be totaled too. I would be sad, but I wouldn't want a repaired vehicle.

As for being lost to P-Cars, I've always told my better half that if I ever was to "outgrow" BMW, it would probably be to Porsche. Not sure that will ever happen, but I'm ok with that if it doesn't. I like SUV/SAV's too an P-SUV's instantly look dated when a new one comes out. The previous generation instantly looks like it is 20 years old although it might just be a year or two old. I don't understand it. Meanwhile used BMW SAV's just age gracefully IMO. Maybe I'm warped.
/OT
Hopefully you'll have some news tomorrow!
Marcus, if you and your partner are looking for an SUV/SAV, the Porsche Macan Turbo is fucking brilliant. It's the perfect size and it goes like the clappers!

But its SO ugly, and its brand new. I prefer the x3 M-sport, and dare I say the x4 even to it. But I really prefer a CPO e70, new isn't in the budget so neither the Macan or the x4 (or a new x3 M-sport) will happen. All of that said, the 2007 Honda CRV EXL Nav we have is paid for, 1-owner, just rolled 112,000 miles and has had absolutely no problems. It will be very difficult to justify trading it in. Although it isn't AWD it gets around great in the snow and ice too.
Car update: She's gone. Damage estimated at $7571.20. Car is valued at $8050.00.
The car will payout at $8143. If I want to buy it back, they will give me $6257 and the car.
I have the option to appeal the price, I just have to find three sources from 2004 within 200 miles of zip 21014 and with 156k miles +/- 10k miles.
So if you have seen any ZHPs for sale that meet the criteria, let me know with a PM.
I need to pay off the personal loan I owe the credit union and part out the car. Then repeat the process with a newer car, or another personal loan. Only two days left in Cabo. Then the search is on.

Damn. Definitely appeal that it should be worth more. I'll see if I can find any cars in the area.
Enjoy the rest of your time in cabo.

Planning on parting it out?
Sad to see your ZHP get totaled Justin.....
Some of it. Gray interior, all kinds of nic-nacs. The stuff in my basement will be for sale too, tons of shit down there that I don't need. The car will be a racecar by mid-2015.
Yeah, me too. She isn't gone, merely retired from civilian life...
There are lots of deals out there now, I should be able to find something. I still have a Porsche 951 to test drive when I get back to MD. It's fifty shades of Guards Red, but it has a black interior and can easily be painted. Needs engine maintenance and suspension. Got a lead on some coilovers if it checks out.
And it was a 328i...:shifty

So I take it you are keeping it? Glad to hear. I have a ton of spare 330i parts if you ever need some spares.
