Is it ok to use BMW (shell) 5w-30 during summer and use Mobil 1 0w-40 in the winter? I both are approved by BMW, but my question is more towards should I just stick with one type/brand of oil and not switch...

How are your tires? Sometimes when the tires get below 50% or more the car can start tramlining. In the 7 years I've had my car, the tramlining was always tires. The Dunlops I had on it tramlined from the first day I put them on.Quote:

Tramlining is when the car tries to follow the contour of the road.
Easy way to tell if it's lower LCAB is drive 5mph while someone is looking at the wheels. Slam on the brakes. If the wheel moves towards the back of the car then they are bad
