What? Just wanted to show you my setup shot, lol.
First order of business after disconnecting the battery was going through the convoluted procedure of cutting up my plastic positive battery terminal and reversing it on the partition. Took my time with this as it seemed to be the biggest potential for humping it up with no parts available if I busted something.
Positive terminal reinstalled on opposite side of the partition

And then, voila!

And last but not least, the sound insulation cut.

The one problem that I didn't anticipate-- For those of you that are unfortunate enough to possess four-door variants of our favorite E46, the coupe windows drop about a 1/4" when you open the door and then raise a 1/4" when you close it so that the window sits tightly in the frame (since they are frameless on top in a coupe).
Well, apparently when you have the battery disconnected for a period of time, this feature no longer works and needs to be reset.
From what I can gather from my thread searching, you reset this function by rolling the window all the way down, and then rolling it all the way up and holding the switch up for 20 seconds.
But of course, since I got my windows tinted today and can't roll my windows down for the next few days.... I can't reset my frieken windows.
Anyhow, came in to eat dinner and post up to my brethren. Be taking out for a test drive with some aggressive cornering in a bit.
Stay tuned......
Looks swell Keith. Really swell............
The window thing is a hilarious conundrum....
Hats off on the install.
