How do you wash your car?

I used to do the 2 bucket method. But I found that this takes too much time and effort. Now, I just use a handful of plush microfibers. Once I?m done with a few panels, I toss them and grab a new microfiber and continue washing. Keeps the water from drying on the paint and eliminates having to rinse/wring out the old wash mitt.

I apply a ceramic detail spray after and it keeps the paint nice and slick/hydrophobic. Technicians Choice is what I use, but most any quality ceramic detail spray will work. Chemical Guys is always available at most places.

I use two bucket method with a microfiber sponge or whatever you call it from any auto part store. Blow the excess water off, then microfiber or sham the rest of the water off. Then I drive down the street hitting the brakes a few times to dry the rotors off/get the surface rust off, come back to the house and clean the barrels/wheels.

I?ve always been hesitant to detail the engine bay. I?ve been working on my brother in laws Tacoma and decided to give it a shot. It?s a heck of a lot easier than I thought. I didn?t use my pressure washer, but used my regular garden hose with the nozzle set for mist. Worked perfectly! There was no need to blast it away.

Just did a stem to stern wash of my 2021 4Runner.

Used Adams Wheel and Tire Cleaner. Great stuff. Second time using it and I love how much gunk it gets out of my tires. I used to use Chemical Guys, but they stuff works just ok, not greatly. And, I LOVE Adams Mega Foam car wash. Smells awesome and foams like crazy. I used 2 oz in the MJJC foam cannon. Foamed the whole she-bang down and even had some left over for the rubber floor mats.

Needed a deep vacuum and interior cleaning and protection. Still using Chemical Guys Inner Clean(?). It works ok, I like that it doesn't leave behind a glossy finish or any residue. It's supposed to have a UV protectant...Going to switch it up to something else soon. Not sure which yet.

Anyways, the engine bay will have to wait until another day.
