They have always done that... They media blast every unit they get. That's what it's from. Just hit those solenoid a with clear coat or silver before installing and you'll be fine

Does anyone ever replace their post-cat o2 sensors as a PM item? In researching, it seems like the pre-cats are usually the only sensors replaced.
No one normally does that because all they do is monitor the cats
