New. The symptoms I had were different in each case. Last year the car sometimes wouldn't start and just made some strange blowing/spinning noise. Sometimes I'd have to take the key in and out of the ignition until it started. IIRC my previous indy said something about it being the solenoid, checked my records and it shows they replaced the starter. This time around I was having symptoms of a bad alternator, car started slower and slower until one day it just wouldn't crank and made some grinding noise (the same day the windshield wipers were acting up; battery is ~3 months old), current indy replaced the starter again and now all is well. :dunno:Quote:
