I've got 65,500 miles on her... Still breakin' her in.
Hit a milestone today. Still running flawlessly!
Attachment 8261
I hit 128,000 the other day... Owned her about 4 months now, and I've put almost 2000 miles on her.
My 540iT crossed 67K over the weekend, the '06 ZHP is closing in on 75K, and the ZHP vert is sneaking up on 47K.
I passed 86k on Preston's car today, drove it to his college this morning, packed the wife's X5 fully of his dorm room stuff and left his ZHP so he can drive himself home at the end of the week. After his last exam, he only responsible to pack up his dirty clothes from the week, his toiletry bag, his backpack with books & laptop, and his sheets. His mom couldn't make it much easier than that for him.
And the X5 which was bought in mid-Nov with 23.8K on the clock, I rolled over 34K miles on the way home today. 10K miles in 6 months, my wife's job is only about 12 miles from the house, that's a heck of a lot of kids' sports taxiing. On today's 500+ mile round trip the X5 delivered 23.7 mpg running at 80 mph most of the time. (The ZHP got about 26.5 mpg) Coming from multiple Denali/Suburbans as the family SUV the last 20 years, the X5 beat their best mpg by 50%. Impressed.
The ZHP turned to 111,000 as I pulled into the driveway tonight. Doing a bunch of maintenance on her, but still a great car!
Damn. 14k miles in the 13 months I have owned my wagon. It sure has been a fun little car, I am looking forward to many miles with it!
I am currently at 168.3k miles. It is really just a number that means nothing to me. Both the PO and myself were on top of maintenance and my car reflects it. Most are shocked are by how old my car is and how many miles are on it :rofl
Nice milestone Chris.
Just hit 105k on way back home from work today
(Since I'm not driving the other car).

2004 Sedan sold with 50,650 last Saturday.
That's very low miles, Alex. Less than 6k per year. No wonder you got a good deal at trade-in.
Yeah, that's what happens when I live a quarter mile from my office, haha.
Must be nice haha. It's like me living in Blacksburg and going to school. The entire town is 8-10 miles long haha. I've put significantly less miles on my car since I've been at VT.
Rolled 156k. Been slow for a little while now. :\
Just picked up an '04 this weekend with 171k and still running like a boss. I'm about to refresh the suspension here soon and give her a facelift. I purchased from a good friend who bought her in 2010 with about 135k IIRC.
Just passed 72,500 and 101,500 respectively...
Currently sitting at 47k. Bought the car with 39k at the end of 2011, car spent most of that 39k in Hawaii, not too many miles to rack up there.
Rolling nearer to the 200,000 miles mark. Currently just broke 199,500.
Original owner and the car has been a dream.
Besides brakes, tires and oil changes the only things I've had to do otherwise are
Valve cover gasket at 100k and 180k
OFH at 130k
Crank case valve at 120k
O2 sensors at 160k
Fuel pump 180k
Fuel filter 150k
Catalytic converters 185k
Not too shabby though some were items I could not DIY (like cats) pretty much everything else I did DIY
Oh and original clutch :-)
Not the power she used to have on launch so I take it easy on her, but she'll still run over 135mph no issue
Just hit 150k. It needs some TLC. I need to do a suspension refresh, window regulators, VCG, AC Comp, exhaust rattle, and brakes.
Wow, awesome. That's when buying a new car makes sense!! I'm the 5th owner of mine at 215,xxx, although my clutch is not original.
You must be due for some suspension work eventually ? How has yours held up ? I think most of mine is original (apart from the usual cheap stuff like rear shock mounts and control arm bushings).
Oh and what's the story on the cats ?
Not much the cats started throwing two codes and I decided to just do it now instead of waiting until I got closer to emissions test time.
The suspension seems fine to me at this point ill pretty much move it to the just keep it driving status. Hopin to get another 100k from it but also don't want to sink tons into it. Pretty sure it's not worth too much at this point. Oh and my Sirius just died....arg.....I hate being without it! I need to pull it and make sure its not something simple like a fuse.
Wow trade in value is still nearly 6k, private is about 8500 and retail just over 10k according to kbb
Wouldn't have figured it would be but half that
Of course I'm driving it until I get a repair that exceeds the value of the car
New they ran me like 1500 total BMW original
Crossed 74K on the way back from Gruppefest.
Heading to the reunion.

Still breakin it in. It only had 39K on it when I bought it in Nov 2011
i'm sitting at 62,4xx. i realized that in almost 2 years of ownership i have only put on 11k miles. last time she left the city limits was 6 months ago for my road trip to NOLA (which i will never make in the ZHP again, that stretch of highway is awful!)
i guess i'm just paranoid as F driving/parking in the city. the roads here are AWFUL and kill my suspension. i got a mushroomed strut tower as a result, plus i have already picked up some cracks/scuffs on the front bumper from shitty roads/driveways (partially my fault, but damn near unavoidable in this city), a scuff on the back bumper from a shitty parallel parker (not my fault), and a 3-4ft scratch on the driver side rear quarter panel from some asshole who keyed my car (not my fault at all).
people suck. not you guys of course.
