I have a couple rolls of a sticky black putty used for window installation work. I think it may be 3M window-weld.
I put some on the end of a piece of corrugated board and used it to grab and pull the phone out of the slot.

I assume damaged rubber around the lip of a GruppeM intake can be repaired/replaced with something from Home Depot, but not sure what it would be called. Anyone have any ideas of what I could use?
I would guess that about every twelfth standing start, I can't get my MT into first. Second try always works.
Is this something anyone here has experience with?
Mine does that a lot. Very annoying at times.
I changed the transmission fluid at around 80k but it's due again. Also the engagement point of the self adjusting clutch can change over time or from day to day. That can throw you off.
I usually let out the clutch slowly while pushing it in first and it usually drops in. Or putting it in another gear then trying first again works too
Just FYI, the clutch fluid in our cars is the same as brake fluid. The brake lines and clutch line all use the same fluid, lines, and reservoir.
But agreed with Lawrence, might want to change out your transmission fluid. I did mine around 49k miles, along with the diff fluid. Cheap insurance to keep your car running well.
I sometimes have difficulty engaging 1st gear, especially when the car is cold. Changing fluid helped a bit. Some people had luck with a similar issue by replacing the engine and transmission mounts.
I had the transmission fluid changed in my car about a month ago, 77K miles. The before/after difference is jawdropping!!!! Car shifts so well now........
Anybody know how this Disconnect Tool works? I will be doing a Power Steering Flush and will also replace some hoses. Thanks.
