Ah so you're saying the grills could be sitting incorrectly causing it to askew to one side? Thanks so much for your help. I know it's rather silly, and a small imperfection, but I love this car... I so badly want it to be perfectly aligned, hah.

Wait I'm confused now, I thought the hood was misaligned and not the grills?
If I understood your issue correctly, you are saying the "gap" between the headlight and the hood (grill side) is not the same on both sides and that is what I noticed as well in the pictures... if this is your issue and since you mentioned the car was in an accident as well it is not possible (for me at least) to say what could be causing it without at least looking at it in person...

My black grilles from ECS fit perfectly!
Yes that is exactly what I'm trying to figure out. More detailed photos wouldn't help? Would love to see if someone knows what the issue is. The accident was in wasn't even enough to deploy the airbag so I'm really hoping it's not damage like that. The previous owner was a BMW tech, so he put the hood on himself. I was hoping he just got lazy as he was trying to align it and said "f It" when he got it to latch into position successfully. The misalignment just bugs me. Please let me know if there's any pictures I can post that could help you help me. :) thank you for response!
Is the hood aligned correctly down the sides i.e. are the gaps between the hood and the fenders equal?
Yes. If it is not, it's minuscule I can't see it, in response to if the alignment with the fenders.
