As long as you have MAF cleaner this shouldn't be an issue. I've used oiled filters for the past 4 years now w/o any issues. :thumbsup

JP...that's great. But do you have the procedure on how to remove the cluster? You don't have to stay up late for this.....I can wait.
Not sure, maybe Bruce can enlighten us. Those links are from E38.org so it should be the same fix for E39
Lawrence... Carl has brand new pixel displays, you just have to install it. I think he said $10
I ve heard about the possibility of screwing my MAF but there is a big difference in the air flow with the dry one.
With the oiled filter is like 25% more air
How often do i have to clean the maf with the spray, so that wont happen ?
The problem is not the pixel. That has already been replaced by the d(st)ealer when under warranty. It is the lamp inside the cluster that lights up the mileage. Just a matter of lamp replacement.
Anybody have the procedure to remove the cluster on a E39?
That $10 offer is very tempting. But I will look him up on it when they go poof. I think I know where Carl stores them....is his attic storage still in there? LOL.
Gave it a good wash and went on a sweet drive :) also, decided that Im gonna get a new paint job on the style 68 rims :cigar Attachment 9404
I bought a set of Michelins PS 3 for my Mini Cooper. Usually, I check Discount Tire or Tire Rack. This time I tried a local business and found a very good deal : saved $ 90 on this purchase. :biggrin
