Thanks guys. I'm having a blast in Morgantown. Haven't seen my best friend since my father's funeral where he and another friend suprised me and my mother.
Good to catch up and reminisce.

Justin,
Hide the keys and go have a great time tonight. With school just starting, no one has homework yet, figure you can find a few willing participants to kill some brain cells with you. Then pop some Advils in the morning and its just a short jaunt to home.
Great pick up, nice thread following your return, you'll remember it forever...
Nah not drinking. No beer needed to have a good time with this bunch. We all just click and its been nonstop laughter.
Getting up at 7 tomorrow. Catching up with another friend in Baltimore city then working from 3-9pm...

Sounds like an unusual college campus plan, but a smart one. The lower center grill is in the garage on a shelf if you should decide to drop SE before heading home. I've gotta be in the office by 0700 tomorrow for a VTC with Wisconsin but someone will be here if you want to retrieve it.
Unfortunately I can't make it that far south to fit my schedule.
And to make matters worse, the bumper is toast. It won't accept the grill yet (busted tabs), but i can put it on the new bumper and save me the few bucks for it. I will take very detailed pics of the damages and needed replacement items.
Yeah I really swung thru for free lodging and to grab a bite to eat with my friends :)

Are you planning on scraping the bumper ? I might be interested in it if you are.
You will see it when I pull it off for inspection this weekend. I don't think it can be used for anything. I remember you were looking for a passenger side piece that doesn't have a realoem part number, correct?
GS3 + TT4
That is correct but it was the drivers side. But hey of both sides are there, that would be great.
Have a safe trip home though.
Driver side is intact...save the lower portion of the bumper. There is a huge lateral crack on the existing molded splitter.
Thanks. It shoukd be an easy 3.25 hours to Baltimore in the AM!

Left Motown at 730 made it to Baltimore to visit a friend about an hour ago.

Sweet.
Thanks all. I'm at work right now...this is painful lol. I just want to clean 2000 miles of bugs off the front.

You are a best. Glad you got back okay!
Great journey, great thread.
Glad you're safely home with your new baby.
Glad you made it back safely.
Just came out from the bar after my shift and heard this noise. VANOS Rattle?

But I just love doing the VANOS seals. I've done three total. And helped Hokie with his last summer. Fun job, although I have neither vice nor impact wrench...might just go DR. VANOS this time...

Thanks Bruce. I will see what the future looks like. Need to sell the 328 before I even think of working on the ZHP. Mom's orders.
Okay...so I bought some things this weekend.
Purchased the Quick-Retro kit from TRS for $150.
Purchased a BNIB performance shift kit from Bill (illirep) for $140.
Found a local gent selling never installed fenders and a new umnitza Mtech bumper for $300.
And then Brettski stepped up and offered his 68k mile headlight lenses to me for free.
All in all, a good day of shopping.
Good stuff, Justin! Are you going to be keeping the performance knob or switching to ZHP?
Going to try the performance knob for a little bit. The ZHP knob is worn and beat. I need to buy some stuff from ecs shortly.
Upcoming list includes, but not limited to:
- Front fender liners a.k.a. Pork chops L&R
- OEM M3 fog lights and shrouds
- M3 support brace w/ central lift point
- Splash shield
- OEM Roundels F&R
- Windshield cowling
- OEM short console with armrest delete and Euro tray in gray
- Zimmerman blank rotors with EBC Redstuff pads
- PIAA Euro sports horn 500 & 600mHz
- DSSR from a reputable company other than UUC...:shifty
- OEM Clear lighting
- Angel eyes...eventually
Some maintenance to be done includes:
- Water pump replacement; I will be stealing the Stewart I have in the 328i
- Underdrive Pullies
- Engine and trans mounts will be swapped with the 75D mounts currently in the 328i
- Full suspension overhaul with new hotchkis lowering springs and younger shocks. Going to see what the e90 drophats can provide as far as getting lower.
- OEM ZHP control arms and 75D CABs
- Rough road strut top plates to protect from the bumps and bruises
Think that's it for now...

Good stuff. Hey Justin, this sounds like a perfect Project thread, ok to move over there? If not, it's fine here. Just thinking it's good stuff that should be beyond "members only".
Any more pictures of the car ? Just curious
You got it.
Thanks JR.
Yesterday I came home from class to find three packages at the door.
My lights, short shift kit and the younger lenses from brettski had arrived!
Unfortunately I have to wait til tomorrow to install...workin the bar tonight.

in for updates
Fitted the performance shift knob tonight. No pics. Did it before work. Feels completely different. But I'm sure my feelings will change after repeated use.

You're welcome. In for pics/review.
How do you like it?
Definitely different...not as ergonomic as the ZHP knob.
