Look at the stats on ZHPregistry.

The "in the wild" numbers most certainly seem to agree that red isn't the most common. Also, the Registry doesn't even have the majority of total ZHPs produced in it. My guess is that the vast majority of ZHPs sold were to non-enthusiasts, meaning the likelihood of most of them being red is much smaller. Red is harder to resell than a common color such as silver or black and a non-enthusiast is far more likely to sell their car than the enthusiast counterpart, so they'll choose the color that's most compatible with the market.
Of course, that is what I "think" is the reason. I wish I saw a lot more Imola ones on the road in the rare occasion I do actually see a ZHP.

My vote would be for silver gray. Second most common *statistically*, and it's a neutral color. I see it most often, too.
It's a link at the top, no?

There were two somewhat high mileage imola red/black zhp vert's for sale here in GA back when I first started looking for mine. Both 6mts and both were pretty ragged out. The one I drove at a local ford dealer had cracked seats that had been repaired with that fake vinyl repair stuff and it was smoking and reeking of burning oil after a very short test ride (no I didn't rag it out).....but the fact that there were two identical cars for sale within a very short distance of each other was interesting.
I think the one at the Ford dealership finally sold at wholesale auction but the other one (the one I didn't look at) is still for sale in case anyone is interested in it: http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...adius=200&mmt=[BMW[][3_SERIES[]]]&listingId=349749552&Log=0

Yes I do believe that makes a big difference, especially when compared to the north bay. I lived in Marin county for a while, (and live just north of it now). Marin county is one of the richest counties in the country but the only cars you ever see are stupid priuses and other hybrids.
Go down to LA and it's a super car bonanza! My girlfriends family lives in West Hills. Once a month there's like a 200+ car meet up 3 blocks from her house. North Bay Area doesn't have anything like that. We have meetings about how to get rid of cars :(
They never wave back....

Nope, they sure don't. Def. a sign of someone who doesn't know what they're driving.
Caught an IR sedan with a donut or black wheel on the driver's front on I-85N just above exit 212 near Henderson, NC at just before 1PM EST today. Car looked really clean flying past in the opposite direction. Perhaps one of our NC family members?
Thought it was me for a second; had my donut on tonight :(
Brettski, what are you doing in Henderson? You should have swung by Raleigh!
Briefly met a friend of a friend of a friend (female) who is the original owner of an '05 silver coupe MT with Alcantara steering wheel that she ordered/bought that way. She knew she had the "performance package" but didn't know what a ZHP was nor what was actually part of that package. The car looked good. I told her about the mafia but she wasn't interested... she likes her car but is not into cars. Interesting.
I got a similar response from my mechanic. He has a white ZHP and I mentioned about this forum. He says: not interested on car forums.

Had a second sighting in St. Petersburg today. Imola vert with natural brown. Looks amazingly clean.

Saw an Imola vert parked at bobs in Middleton the other day, it was gone when i came out.
Let me know if anyone needs a few Mafia cards to leave on the window.

How on earth did the rear wheels have more brake dust than the front? lol
Good eye! Never seen that. He's not square I don't think. Would be a strange rotation.

When I bought tires this weekend, the guy was like "if you take it anywhere else, make sure you tell them they're staggered so you don't get them mixed up."
I'm thinking "uhhhh... Ok? What place would be that dumb?" but we all know how some people are clueless...
Hehe that's sort of funny but also very true about some places unfortunately.
