This also depends on the ballast. With my 55w ballasts from my e39, I'd say this chart is true. When I ran 6k 55w in that, your 6k description seems about right. A few months ago I tried 5k's with my OE 35w ballasts in my ZHP and it had about as much blue as my 6ks, but MUCH dimmer... so the blue stood out more. I remember constantly trying to figure out if my 55w 6k bulbs in my e39 were white or blue. They were just so intensely white, that blue slightly started to show.

So, for 35w set-ups, I'd say the following:
4300k: a warm colored white
5000k: white with a slight blue tint
6000k: pale blue
8000k: deep blue

Let's be reminded that 55w's make bulbs burn about 1k lower in the color scale as I mentioned above. So, a 35w 5k bulb will have a similar tint as a 55w 6k bulb. But 55w ballasts will obviously provide greatly improved light output.

Did vanos,anti rattle and vcg today. The weather was perfect here in chicago land to work on my car. only downside was that i almost lost a finger when i was cutting out the old seals form the vanos. http://img.tapatalk.com/42575e4f-c4de-633a.jpg

That is correct but I'm running 35w OEM ballast in the ZHP. Perhaps when I "upgrade" to the FX-R's I might have Cesar add the 55W ballast instead :)

The mid section I mentioned was for the front bumper one. Are you talking about the door trim? If so, I would recommend having a few clips on hand. I broke 2 but one of the 2 I broke clipped back in. I removed the door trim with a screwdriver wrapped in MF towel. Pulled an edge I could grab then stuck the screwdriver and pulled on the screwdriver, to pull the trim off.

Thanks....I would advise to only use a little of the cleaning solution. The bottle says to dilute the 4oz bottle in a gallon of water but you will only need 1/4 of that. Also, once you apply the black dye follow it up with a quick light wipe of a cloth. First coat it applied the dye and let it dry but it looked runny. 2nd coat I wiped after the dye and it looked nice and smooth.

I've thought about the same thing, but many people have said that having that extra light from a 55w ballast is too much. It's almost like when you're driving in daylight and go into a tunnel.. your vision is temporarily lost until your eyes re-adjust to the darkness. With the FX-R's, I think that this would be amplified even more.

I noticed tonight that my CBI bulbs are pretty much broken in. I'm more than happy with my current light output ATM.
