Beltronics came out with the STi Magnum which is much better in performance than my STi Driver. Both have casing made of magnesium. Awesome radar detectors, especially if your desire is to be stealth...:thumbsup Eventually, I will complete my ESM suite with Laser Interceptor so I have both passive and active capabilities for my ZHP road warrior :biggrin
not that I plan to speed but I usually keep it at 10 over....at least this way I can check myself and not worry about getting nailed up here in RI, MA, or CT.....
good questions Dane, but i also dont know the answers... but i think the thurst arm bushing = control arm bushing?
I decided to get a 2nd opinion and went to my indy, put my car on the lift and they checked the bushings, they cant find anything wrong with it...
no leak/crack...
whats even funnier is they showed me my brake pads and advised me that it need to be replaced very very soon, but the report from BMW said its still okay?
so heres my plan, im taking my car to a guy who is working as a tech in Morristown BMW, and he told me he'll gladly inspect my car again (based on the
initial recommendation from JMK BMW)... hopefully things will get sorted out...
for now, im sticking to my initial plan, change the auto trans fluid and differential fluid too... next is the OFHG...

Today I got my VANOS back on.. but after Terra and I got it all bundled up, it's expelling a decent amount of smoke from the engine bay. Definitely doesn't smell like oil.. and I took it for a ~15 mile drive tonight and it was still doing it when I got home. Any ideas?????
Inhaled some asbestos...er...installed new rear brake pads!
