Sorry to hear circumstances are forcing you to sell for cheap. Can't believe it's still FS.
On another note, you sure you don't wanna just sell the vette?
The car looks great cam, it should sell soon. Love the RCRs and clear corners.
And if your splitters are oe and you ever feel like selling them apart from your car I will gladly poach them ;)
[Insert witty phrase about Tapatalk here]
Lol. Yeah. I got a notice that my lease ends at the end of Sept instead of the end of Oct, so I'm in decision mode. I would have to part out the vette at this point to get close to getting my money back with 14 months of ownership. Besides, it is both more fun and more reliable the the zhp. Gets better mpg hwy too. :rofl
Thanks. They are the cap type replicas. :shifty
Updated with a current list of problems and changed some of the pics around. Basically all of which appeared on Sunday. :facepalm I'm working on all of them though and will hopefully get all of them taken care of shortly. Car is going to have a ton of new parts when all is said and done.
I do have a lead on some oem wheels. May be doing a trade this weekend.
Figured out my problem. Quarter size hole in the bottom of my upper intake boot. Can't remember why I just did the lower... :facepalm #noob
I should probably go ahead and take off the lower, clean the throttle body and check the disa again, right? Because of any dust getting in? (I did all of the above in either January or February)
Edit: Temporarily covered the hole with duct tape until I can pick up the part at 8:30 tomorrow morning. Idle normal. Clutch chatter gone completely. (apparently the oem lightweight flywheel doesn't like low rpms in nuetral) Car sounds normal again. Phew.
Correct. The clutch would chatter when the rpms would dip from around 1k to 500/600ish upon cold startup at idle. It happened for the first time on Sunday. I have only driven it twice since so I could get it back home. Chatter occurred both times. Rev the engine or push in the clutch and the chatter would disappear. Now it's perfect again. I have heard of other stock zhps chattering too.
I had 8 codes pop. 6 misfires and 2 lean bank codes. Once I saw the hole, I had no doubt that they were from the intake boot. I got the same codes months ago before I replaced the lower boot. (it wasn't big enough to mess up the idle though)
We were thinking throwout bearing before this revelation, correct?
Yep. At the time that was the only explanation I could think of.
Woah, this sounds familiar. Does the clutch only "chatter" when engaging? I have a similar thing; when I engage at low RPMs (500-700), clutch kinda vibrates. I've simply been engaging a little higher as a result.
Could this be the same thing for me? Car is from New Mexico; hot as hell. Could be dried boots. Or was your issue different?
