Who is this Tony?
Don't worry about it Charlie.
Just purchase some E46 Window Regulator Repair Clips. They work great! Just make sure that the piece that goes into the clip actually fits correctly. I ordered the wrong ones the first time and it was returned.

Overall satisfy that these work out really well and that I forgot to do a zip-tie reinforcement however better than purchasing a non-oem regulator. Time to get the tint off my car and have it redone sometime this summer as well.
Does anyone know of the benefits to full aluminum or poly guibos?
Looking for some insight regarding new suspension and steering parts. Currently I am looking at Z4M FCABs and M3 RTABs with limiters along with a oem guibo. I saw that AKG had a few different guibos and FCABS and RTABS as well. Not sure what everyone else is recommending.
Some people are using z4 control arm bushings while others are using poly stuff from Akg.
I personally like the poly fcab and no regrets.
I'm going akg.

Yeah thinking about z4m since roads here are crappy. Haha
Any preference on limiters of the RTABs?
Turner Motorsports ones look nice
Thought Vorschlag was pretty high on the list as far as limiters go. I know NewJack has the Z4M bushings with limiters. He loves it.
Yeah I been checking ecstunimg, vorschlag, and akgmotorsports. They are all about the same price. Not sure if there is a big difference in the designs of them though.
Had a conversation with BP last night and he stated that the akg diff bushings are super noisy. So no go on poly for me.
Let me touch on this a bit.
With the AKG bushings installed, I hear a ton more gear noises as I'm shifting gears. I could make a very smooth shift but I'd still hear the gears changing and hear the driveline adjusting to it. It's quite annoying to me personally because it makes it sound like my car's in disrepair.

I love that noise. When you rev-match down shift and they whine...ugh makes me smile real hard.
75D engine and trans mounts are going into the ZHP sometime soon.

Spent a day with Charlie :)

Detailing it the Charlie way! Clay, compound, seal and wax. Totally makes a big difference. Also picked up on all the new scratches and rust areas that are forming. I'll have to address all this some other time. Other then that I'm totally excited about the great detail and got a lot of new information on how to detail my car in the future. Going to need to get some detailing equipment sometime.
So pretty.

Looks good T. Having the right equipment (DA polisher) is very helpful.

Looks fantastic, I want your wheels.
Sorry not parting it at all since I got them from Charlie as well :)
As we talked about it before it works really great with the silvergrey car.

Tony, it was great having you over and helping you get your ZHP detailed :thumbsup
What a transformation! Now your car feels so fresh!!! Feel free to stop by again if you need more help ;)
So in the mist of everything I was offer some pretty good large projects for a really fair and reasonable price. I am totally not sure if I should jump on these deals as it wasn't something I was thinking about for a few years later done the road however it would be quite amazing to get it all set up to this point sooner than later. Of course I do blame Charrrie for introducing me to these crazy modifications and to consider it all. Overtime I would own the car as long as possible till I spring onto a //M lease for myself and use the ZHP as a DD. So let's see how this weekend goes and I may jump on it.
I say do it!!! :D You got plenty of guys to help you. Any more questions feel free to ask :thumbsup
I was in the neighborhood today after going to Flayvors but I didn't spot you. But from the picture the detail looks great!
Ah flayvors? What's that? Lol
Ice cream! It's probably 2 minutes from your house!
My windshield is going to get a replacement soon. Got a nice chip on the windshield. Used a heat gun and sure enough it expanded right down. Pretty sure it won't be a problem since I never had it replaced. The old one has a lot of chips and pits. Does anyone have advice when replacing the windshield. Going through progressive and requested oem with rain sensor since I did retrofit it in ;)
If insurance will cover it go for it. Someone here recently had there's replaced with one I think he ordered from a dealership. Surely you can work that!

Yeah we don't do many glass replacements at my shop so I'll just bring it to a another place. Insurance is telling me I would need to pay the difference for the oem one though. So I'll just have to see how much it is and argue from there ;)
See what they say. My local shop got me a Pilkington Glass with the sensor built in.

But didn't you already had a rain sensor via vin ?
Yes but I had a cracked windshield

Replace my guibo and oil change today with castrol 0w40 from Walmart. 26.00 a jug. Mileage at 133180
I'm coming up on my oil change. Probably going to hit that and other stuff over the summer.

So it seems like I would have to pay like 400 dollars in order to get a new windshield to keep oem. That's with a 100 dollar deductible as well. That seems like a big difference in pricing there between oem and aftermarket. Has anyone else replace their windshield?
Mine was less than $250 at a local shop. I had it done the first time via glassguru.com/windshieldguru.com They shop the jobs out and take a cut. I specified Pilkington and actually had the installer pick up a new cowling at the dealer and install that.

The donor :)
For the glass?
Nope much more :) I guess I could get the glass but I suppose I'll just let insurance cover that
