Gave her some new OEM all-weather floor mats.
Very happy with them. Way better than the BavAuto set they replaced.
Also thrilled with the excellent service and quick shipping from the boys at Tischer.

Yep, got the OEMs on the Vert, sorry I went with the after market on the 323I that my ZHP inherited

Great story about my afternoon long wheel swap between my ZHP and the 328i.
It's three in the afternoon. Woke up from a nap after work. Decided I should swap wheels. So I started out on the left front and went clockwise around the vehicles at the same time.
I actually used the widowmaker to do both cars at the same time. One side at a time.
All of the wheels on the 328 came off clean no hassle. So I begin by taking all of the bolts off of the LF ZHP wheel and the fucker is welded to the brake hub. Great.
So I gather some implements to remove it.
One can of WD-40? Check.
One 12 oz. hammer? Check.
Plank of wood? Check.
Rubber mallet? Nope
Way to go Dad. You left me with every other tool imaginable...but a mallet.
So the other tools work as good as army of ants attempting to spin the earth.
After an hour of struggling with the first corner I give up. Go take the wheel off of the 328i and it comes off with no effort.
Wonderful.
Back to the ZHP, just give the wheel a huge blow on the bottom with the plank and hammer combo. Loose. Finally pulls off with a few more blows. Swap wheels and liberally apply white lithium grease to prevent this again.
Moving to the back left wheel comes off easy. Awesome smooth sailing.
Getting to the good part, bare with me.
Final corner. Right front. Wheel lugs are off. Same situation as the first wheel. Lubed it up with WD-40 and tried the same method...only problem is its 5:00 and in about 18 minutes the sun will dip below the horizon. Fuck.
Let's speed this up...drop car and start her up. Okay just need to break the welds and then it should come off. Reverse. Gas. Stop. First. Gas. Stop...Repeat. so far so good. First. Gas. Stop. Thwunk! Heart is skipping beats. How much of a fuck up is it this time? Widowmaker to the rescue! Lift up the car from the wheel and she rolls right out of there. Keep cranking the jack to inspect the damage.
Damage is minimal. Great luck I have been having today. The brake dust shield took the blow and bent a little bit. Hammered some clearance to the rotor and slam the style 44 on there and torque that shit down. It's six pm now...class is in an hour! I clean up and wash all of the brakedust off of my hands.
Got away with a major blunder today. Consider this your friendly reminder to put some antiseize between your hubs and rotors next time they're off. Would have sped this task up immensely.
Also...the rotors I ordered came in today right after sunset...pissed about that. Now I get to deal with the breaks after this whole ordeal! Joy.
TL/DR: Don't drive your car with none of your lugs on one corner and expect things to turn out well. In the end, all of my wheels are swapped and my ZHP now rides on style 44s. With some meaty Kumho Ecsta 4s with flatspots and less than 5000 miles on them :)
Oh...class was canceled...I didn't check my email before I left. Failing hard on all fronts today.
Sent from my GS3.
Lol. Great story Justin.
Similar happens to us all.

Haha, at least class was cancelled.
That was a good read, lol.
Those wheels can be a real bitch when they stick like that.
Glad you got it all worked out.

Finally installed the Aux stereo input I got last year. Taking the trim pieces off is a real PITA. But everything else went smoothly so no complaints. Put the outlet just to the left of the right side seat heater. Looks like it belongs and has very easy access.
Tomorrow I start on fixing my bumper (sleeping policeman ripped off a couple rivets from engine pan). After that, I get to replace shocks/ struts and springs, with CAB and RTAB bushing replacements. How fun!
New steering guibo installed. Difference? Very small :( I figured with 175k it was well due for a replacement..
Control arms are <60k miles. Fcabs are new. Alignment is new. Shocks/struts/springs are recent. Tires are recent, brakes are brand new. Yet my steering still has very small play in it. What could it be? Possibly because the steering rack has 175k on it? Tie rods and ends are in good shape as well as sway bar end links.
Also when I brake I still get some steering wobble/vibration. Sticking calipers maybe? Rotors and pads are <5k miles.
Kind of annoying trying to make a car with 175K miles drive like a brand new car.. UGH
Also my car groans/creaks sometimes at low speeds over bumps. Shock mounts, right?
