Left it in the heated shop (at work), took the bosses "beater" 318ti home.
I didn't get out of work early enough to avoid the snow, and attempted a few absolutely terrifying miles in some really not that bad snow...in my summer tires.
I had no traction at all, the slightest tip of the throttle and DSC was kicking in. A few sketchy situations, I couldn't even go above 20 mph.
Unfortunately I haven't been around in order for me to order my snow wheel/tire set, and it's starting to become an issue. I'll be gone on business all next week so I don't need to worry about it then, a week of work, and then I'll be gone again for xmas. So, hopefully I can hold out until I get back from xmas break. I'll be watching the weather while I am there to see if I need to order them for a Monday delivery.
I got caught in light snow accumulation with summer tires in the 325 a few years ago.
It was absolutely insane. Felt like I was driving on a skating rink. Not fun.

Replaced the air springs in the back of our X5. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was.
I purchased a new 3M Rubbing Compound that was demonstrated to me at the dealer body shop where my wheels were recently refinished. I took one of my wheels to get an imperfection corrected and the shop supervisor took the wheel and this rubbing compound and with his finger was able to literally erase that imperfection. I was blown away with the ease in which he did this.
Anyway here's the product which I will be using on my wheels and paint....

I been using these products back when it was called The Perfect 3000. Now 3m has changed the name to Perfect-it but it is still the same great products.
There are 3 parts to the system and then a finishing glaze. If you use it in the system, the results are purely amazing.

No joke, I've been using that stuff for almost 30 years! That's what we used back in high school when I learned how to wet sand and buff out cars. Back then it was just 3m brown and 3m white. Then it was Finesse-it, Finesse-it II, then the 3000 series, then Perfect-it, Perfect-it II. Probably more that I've forgotten about but I've been buying it ever since. I don't get into all the new fancy stuff. This stuff works so I stick with it. I'm currently using this one that's made for dark colors
