It took me 5 cans to put 5 layers on my wheels... Like with any painting project prep work is key so I took my time and made sure the wheels were spotless prior to application... It's only been a month but it's held up well I repaired one ding in it last weekend... Used acetone rubbed the surface down so there was no noticeable depression in the surface and then sprayed a layer or 2 on... Turned out perfectQuote:

Also, I have been using PlastX on my headlights and side markers every wash. I've finally started to really notice a difference. The side markers actually leave a yellow smudge on my towel when I clean them. They're not perfectly clear from all angles, but they look 50 times better.
My headlights have finally gotten to the way that I want them to look. The one thing I hate about older BMWs is the headlight haze. It just makes them look so...outdated. What a difference it has made over the course of about a month. I did restore them a while back, but I have continually used PlastX every wash just to see if any difference would be seen.

The oil (Mobil 1 15W-50) and coolant (the blue stuff) have been changed on the 2002, just need to adjust the timing now. We've basically come to end of "driving feel" repairs on the car. Next step will be making it pretty enough for going out. Still not sure on what we're going to do for the exterior paint but Black Diopside Metallic with a German flag pinstripe on the body (OE has trim) line has pulled into the lead. In a tie for second are Sparkling Graphite Metallic and Dark Graphite Metallic. Thoughts?
Will post pics of engine progress later when I get home.
I vote Valencia Orange! I think I'm going to do my 328i in that color and get an e30 and paint it Imola...
