Thanks Charlie, Dane, I know it should feel good but, I just can't break the habit of putting my gloves on yet. I'll try again tomorrow. :(

Charlie, your CSL project is so cool, I can't wait to see the finished product!
This afternoon my dad and I went out and bought a polisher and we buffed out minor scratches (some of them my fault, novice snow-shoveler that I am--won't make that mistake again!) and detailed the car. It looks great with cleaned-up wheels and a fresh coat of wax.
Those style 135's are a pain, but they look so good once they're clean!
Great project.
Quite a pain--the small gap... The detailer today used a strong wheel cleaner (Sonax product: http://www.detailersdomain.com/Sonax...0ml_p_324.html) and something called Ride & Shine and a long haired badger brush like this: http://www.detailersdomain.com/Adams...ush_p_727.html Worked really well. He used this on the lug nut holes: http://www.chemicalguys.com/Chemical..._p/acc_s90.htm
I had been using this: http://www.autogeek.net/laitner-spoke-brush.html but it still isn't ideal. This one works ok: http://www.autogeek.net/mothers-tire...brush-kit.html (long one).
Thanks Monroe! Just so you know, I'm always at Larz Anderson's BMW day on Father's day. Been showing my ///M there for the past 4 years now....maybe I might see you and others from the Boston area this year :) I'm also up for local meets, just need a heads up to make sure my schedule is clear :)
You know, I'll be moved out of the Northeast by then! I like the idea of a meetup, but when it comes to actually doing it I've been overloaded with work and thesis this year and it hasn't been on the top of my priority list. On the other hand, late spring after my thesis is due would be perfect :) so we'll see!
Spend $80 on tools today for the E21. Cobalt LHD bit set from Snap-On (I kept breaking the Harbor Freight crap trying to remove that broken bolt), and a 3.5mm Allen hex bit 1/4" drive socket so I can adjust my AFM
Everybody's getting all this work done and I'm stuck at work! At least nobody's parked near me today.
Last night I ordered a MediaBridge from ECS and some trim replacement pieces.
