No, I’ve not driven my squares without spacers (had the spacers on before I went square). As for spacers’ performance benefits, I’m pretty much with those guys: technically they do give you a wider track, which does help performance, but the few-millimeter increase from spacers isn’t really appreciable.

I haven’t rolled my fenders (yet), but I haven’t noticed any rubbing (only 100 miles into the set so far).

Travis, that's great. This makes me want to go square as well!

Do you have a pic of your rear before you went square?

I want to run spacers with the stock rim set and you answered my question about what I need to make the from flush but now I need to figure out the rear.
