thanks guys
@Justin, they're posted here and there but yes I do need to update that thread. Go look in the engine bay thread
Edit: the E21 door handle visible on the drivers side will soon be replaced with the correct 2002 version when I take the door card off and re-glue the vinyl to the card better (it's coming loose in a few places). I also have to finish up the E24 rear bucket swap which I have all the parts for but haven't had time to deal with yet (need to re-upholster the seats, armrest and build a rear shelf). Next will be fixing the cracks in the dash and finding a center console for either an early 2002 or probably a 1602, let me know if you see one in decent shape.
Yeah I saw that one. Very stark difference from when it was first received. The wiring is neatly tucked now :)
one more for you real quick... some old school 3 point harness technology

Because the 2002 originally just had lap belts, right? Where does the third point mount to?? That looks pretty uncomfortable, JP.
It's gonna rain again the joys of SFL in the summer.Quote:

it's not the smartest idea ever but they are the original optional belts from 11/68 when the car was built, OO apparently had some taste. It mounts on the horizontal metal under the window between the B and C pillars. They aren't uncomfortable but they are a huge PITA to adjust. Honestly I will probably eventually get a cage and run a 5-point setup, but a full frankenstein style engine swap will come first. Imagine this car but even more crazy...
