Yes. He recommended to replace the pan because the filter is attached to it. You can't just replace the filter.
...wow. E90 maintenance seems like so much more. My transmission service was $350 for filter fluids gasket bolts.
Went to a local auto glass shop and they verified my windshield had a stress crack. The shop called autoglassguru and the guru agreed to cover 100% of the replacement. Only issue was the shop forgot to order the replacement gasket so they are coming to my house on Fri a.m. This shop offers 100% replacement as long as I own the car. I'm pretty satisfied.

Get a second opinion with someone in the "know" if the pan requires replacement. Maybe it's just me....but I smell something that's not right. In the meantime, I will ask my son to maybe talk to the BMW techs. PM me your car's specs. Year, type, engine, etc.Quote:
