Love it! I have a friend that had his strut towers tear away from the fender mount (whatever that is called). I checked mine and found the smallest of cracks and instantly ordered it. The roads here are insanely rough, plus the car is slightly lowered and on 19's.

I might have a better review for you if I drove the car more. I used to auto-x it WAY back in the day too. My but-o-meter (and hands on the wheel) feel like it helped, but then again it might just be the pilot super sports. I've yet to give them anything they cannot handle, but, again, I've only driven the car 3100 miles since last Christmas.

That sure is a plus! If I had one I probably would never use it though.
Somewhere I heard that it takes 30 pounds of weight off. Not sure how accurate that is though.

I'm sure there's added weight but why wouldn't you use it? I use it almost every day and it's pretty damn nice to have... when it works :) Mind you, I haven't had a problem with, yet. Maybe it's the California sunshine :pimp

I'm a redhead so you could say that the sun and I aren't exactly friends haha. The alcantara doesn't like the sun either.
With the weather you have in Santa Cruz it must be impossible not to have it open! :)

Nice! I've never actually been to Santa Cruz. I've heard good things though!

Jealous!! I used to have my sunroof open all of the time in Kansas, Ohio, and Texas, but the intense direct sunlight here in Nevada sees me with the top closed more often than not.

And yes, the weight savings on a non-sunroof is right about 31 lbs (I did the math myself based on part weights listed on BMWFans.info). Has me seriously considering a sunroof delete mod ...

Looks like a CF delete panel on eBay is around $300 (probably a good deal cheaper for fiberglass), then you'd need a non-sunroof headliner, which (IIRC) the average cost is around $500 (per E46f posts).
