Dalton even though it needs no prep you should still prep it.
Prep time was a couple days for me after work, but it can be done in a couple hours of your hands can manage. I sanded with 120 to get the rubber layer off. 320 to smooth the imperfections from the 120 (and any extra rubber bits). Then the 600 to get pretty smooth.
I washed with water and then let it dry in the garage.
After that I plastidiped with 4 coats - waiting 30min between coats. I noticed I didn't get some areas smooth so it showed a couple scrapes in the beginning. After 4 coats everything looked even.
I would definitely recommend prep work because I did a half ass job getting all the details in the cup holder and it is still visible if looking very closely.

Great work Sean. When I first bought my car my cupholder was a little scratched so I spray painted it and it looks just fine. Your idea for the whole console is awesome.
@Charlie, pretty cool. Congrats on the cover. Gonna go take a look.
Just found a nice parking space right next to a pillar at the parking structure on campus. Parked with the front facing out and the passenger side glued to the pillar. Lots of extra room to my left = less paranoid me
Finally got my ZHP back after driving an e92 for a week. Nothing like an e92 for a week to make you really appreciate your ZHP! Now it's time for dr. vanos, GAS, etc... Paging dr. germain... to the O.R. STAT.
What the hell does STAT mean?
