I don't think so. I thought seat belts and other stuff played into this as well. I could be wrong.

A guy I who contacted me from e46f said he put them in as a test and they worked. He said one of the mods there did a DIY write up. I need to search some more. I saw another guy who put M3 seats on a sedan also.

He does mention "If going into a sedan you only have to swap the rail with the seatbelt anchor (outboard) - it's only got 2 nuts holding it in place so that's a piece of cake."
and "Sedan seatbelt bases attach to the seat rail. Coupe (including M3) seatbelt bases attach to the car floor. That's why you have to swap rails, for the seatbelts to mount.
edit: The B-pillar trim is the other part of the car that the seatbelt mounts to. Then it triangulates at the buckle."
SO I may be in luck.
Aren't coupe rear sets set up only as 2 seats instead of the "3" a sedan has? Probably not a big issue, though.
