If you want check whether you have the OEM alarm installed in your car, you can quickly follow this install DIY and check the locations for the motion and tilt sensors. If you don't find the sensors, you do not have the alarm.Quote:

Hi tony- I'm interested in one of the PASoft 1.4 BMW scanners. Do you have one left? Does it work on both e46 and e38? I have a Windows 10 laptop - can I just load the software and it's pretty much plug and play?

what happens when you try to extract/install the drivers?

You see, that's always been the problem with windows update. The updates end up breaking something else. Shawn, right click on those and see if you can rollback the driver to the previous version...

Snipping tool if it's the newest Windows. However please read drivers installation rtf. Instructions are right there.
The print screen copies the screen to windows clipboard. Then open up Windows paint and choose paste on the command bar...

Tony, it isn't an "rtfm" thing: I was sold a laptop with your software preinstalled. For some reason it needed to be installed again when I got it, but that was easy even though I haven't used a Windows box in years. No trouble here...

Yes scanner does work on any Windows OS platform. I have drivers for all of them. I will be remaking some videos to help people soon.
