Decided to change things up a bit since I'm giving the car to my sister for the near future. Brushed aluminum from an AW/IR M3, I traded him a set of black cube. I'll install the door handles this weekend

I know it was mid year 2005, not sure what month it became standard though... mine is 7/6/05 so it's May-July 2005. It was the replacement after they discontinued the Alcantara wheels

I added another bimmer to my fleet but its not a zhp. I had a wagon just like this one from about 2010-2012....have no idea what I was thinking when I sold it since it was pristine with very few miles when I got it, but for some stupid reason I sold it and within 6 months regretted it and have been searching for another one since. Last Friday this one popped up on AutoTrader....and before there were even photos up I called and after getting some info, I put a deposit down and started preparations for my trip. Sunday at 6am, my son and I hopped into my 2009 Subaru Outback 3.0R (a very nice wagon for sure...but not what my 530 was) and headed west. We got to Amarillo by late-night (just like the song...kinda) and by Monday noon, I was transferring stuff out of the Subaru and into the 530. It's pretty sad but as I was moving my stuff from one vehicle to the other, having already handed over my keys and a check and signed all the papers, it dawned on me that I hadn't even test driven the 530 yet! In any case, Tuesday morning we departed on our return trip and by Wednesday at 4pm, my son and I were home. The trip was long and arduous and the front of the wagon was plastered with 1400mi of bugs but in the end it was worth it. This 07 530 had a mere 29,990mi on it (now 31400 after the long drive home) but it is literally immaculate...due to living in such an arid climate, there's not a spot of rust on it anywhere! The cool thing is that now I have two BSM bimmers in the garage sitting side-by-side...they're both of similar vintages so they compliment each other nicely!
I love that wagon! Nice pick up.
very nice. how is the steering on the xi's? i've read that it is really slow.
