Lol same thing happened to me but at Mazar e Sharif, Afghanistan. Only difference was that I worked on the flight line but couldn't get back on due to a pissed off German at the gate.

I heard some nasty things about Herat. Glad you got back safe.

I thought my Soldier rank was because I stated in my intro I used to be a Soldier...now I know!!!
