Today, I tackled the refurbishment of my rear parcel shelf. Using JP's DIY (from which there is deviance due to having a sedan), I successfully removed and resprayed the parcel shelf. In total, about 5 coats were applied, about 3/4 of the can of Duplicolor Fabric and Vinyl flat black paint. Then, with Charlie's crucial assistance, had some material laid down underneath where the parcel shelf sits so I could eliminate the source of a rarely heard rattle I get.

The shelf after. You can see some of the material used for noise reduction poking out from the speaker openings. I'm told having that material there will provide deeper bass, which I'm just fine with!

Right before pulling the shelf, I had an "oh shit" moment and remembered that I just had the windows tinted, which was still in the process of curing. Luckily, Charlie and I managed to get everything done without touching the rear window!

The speaker covers are in pretty bad shape. On one side, the Harmon Kardon strip is broken off the main grille, so it's just wedged in there. This strip on both sides is severely faded. I will probably just end up buying new covers.

Overall, this has been a complete success. Thanks to Charlie for the workspace and for getting certain things done much faster than I would have been able to pull off. :thumbsup
