lol. Don't think you have to tempt him. :)
Actually guys, I didn't take the time to look into it, it wasn't a CPO vehicle, not even used and FS, so I didn't ask too much... I did manage to call on another X5 that I've had some interest in... Went down and did a test drive, have to talk to them tomorrow and discuss options for trade, finance, and just what sort of deal they're willing to make. Here's a quick pic of the vehicle... :eeps

Heh, thanks guys... Its truly a stupid vehicle to buy for my wife to shuttle our two kids around in. But, I drove it with the mindset that it will be her car and she will drive it 90% of the time. That being said, I didn't get all wild with the throttle. I just took it for a 5-10 mile city drive with the guy, and to be honest, I was very impressed with how mild mannered it is. I didn't engage MDM at all while driving and I only gave it considerable throttle once or twice. During normal easy driving, it is very easy to drive, pretty quiet (with the exception of the run flats), and comfortable. You can definitely tell it has ///M suspension and a sport inspired transmission as both are more sporty/aggressive/responsive than standard equivalents. I did do a few paddle shifts, but even then, they were just mildly spirited, not full throttle runs or anything.
As for this vehicle, the Silverstone Metallic is absolutely gorgeous, and this from a guy that hates silver cars. Its actually a very very light blue, beautiful against the black leather. Black isn't my first choice, but better than the god awful red. The vehicle is mildly optioned, but has enough of them to keep me entertained... Piano black trim is nice too, although a bit boring. Perhaps I can locate some carbon leather or even real carbon fiber.
So far, the only major downside I noticed... Avg speed logged on the vehicle was 25mph... Average economy, 12.3mpg... :facepalm
We shall see. :biggrin
Not good mpg as I assume most of her driving is city. I sent you an email on a white estate.
Yeah exactly Shawn... I can't even plan on "combined" mileage... The city figure is what we'll get... And even less when I drive it... :shifty
Also, got your email on the touring... Thanks... She didn't smack it down instantly like she has in the past with tourings... Perhaps I will do a search...
woah, are we all done with the 3 series diesel??? This X5 is kind of the polar opposite of that in a number of ways (MPG for one!)
wagon > suv imo
