Operation Hood Install. Finally got some time and some help to swap hoods. That was the easy part. The hard part is getting it to close properly, seems to match, route windshield washer nozzle wiring and tubing etc. Not a fun project but it looks bad ass so I feel it will be so worth it in the end!

Got it all done! Man what a job this was.
Routed the windshield washer tubing and electrical. I had to cut holes in the frame of the hood and the left panel. Looks so much better than glueing it to the outside panel like the previous owner did.

I cut out holes in the panel for the small hood vents. This should help keep the engine compartment cooler in the hot desert climate. Curious to see how much of a difference this makes. You can easily see the DINAN strut bar thru the vents!

You can see the LED lighting on my Strut Bar thru the vent. This should look cool at night!

Ha Ha, thanks guys! Ya I'm really digging this bad boy! My friend that helped my swap the hoods said it totally transformed the look of the car. The CF hood is super lite but I surprised how lite the stock aluminum hood is. I would say the CF hood is approx 20 lbs and the stock hood is approx 25 lbs. I seen a guy over on the M3 Forum cut the exact vent configuration of this VIS hood into his stock hood. I wish I had the skills and ballz to cut my OEM hood to install vents.
