Minor update:
I put the multimeter on the car to check the drain during sleep.
Current draw: 45mA.
That seems to be normal for a BMW. The car is on a bmw trickle charger for the time being until I can figure out this mysterious gremlin.

I would look too much like my cousin's car. I just recently installed a Euro LCM faceplate on his Eagle eyes. the rear fogs work too!
