Nice addition to the family. Easier than a baby and cheaper than a dog. Love it!

Canada----Everything North of Santa Barbara
East Coast----Everything East of Las Vegas
But what about the pics???
Also, the strut bar is not allowed a drink, you don't want to get a DUI!!!!
:rofl

The funny thing is, we are busting his ballz (and you know he knows it), and he is prolly in the garage right now installing it and taking pics.
Exactly!
Just got done gents. Drum roll please............

What? Just wanted to show you my setup shot, lol.
First order of business after disconnecting the battery was going through the convoluted procedure of cutting up my plastic positive battery terminal and reversing it on the partition. Took my time with this as it seemed to be the biggest potential for humping it up with no parts available if I busted something.
Positive terminal reinstalled on opposite side of the partition

And then, voila!

And last but not least, the sound insulation cut.

The one problem that I didn't anticipate-- For those of you that are unfortunate enough to possess four-door variants of our favorite E46, the coupe windows drop about a 1/4" when you open the door and then raise a 1/4" when you close it so that the window sits tightly in the frame (since they are frameless on top in a coupe).
Well, apparently when you have the battery disconnected for a period of time, this feature no longer works and needs to be reset.
From what I can gather from my thread searching, you reset this function by rolling the window all the way down, and then rolling it all the way up and holding the switch up for 20 seconds.
But of course, since I got my windows tinted today and can't roll my windows down for the next few days.... I can't reset my frieken windows.
Anyhow, came in to eat dinner and post up to my brethren. Be taking out for a test drive with some aggressive cornering in a bit.
Stay tuned......
Looks swell Keith. Really swell............
The window thing is a hilarious conundrum....
Hats off on the install.
Looks good keith! Now we were promised pics of the tint today too! you have a lot to do before bed tonight!
And those are pretty sweet pads protecting your car! more things i need to spend the cash on! damnit again... you guys are gonna make me broke!
That looks great! Excellent!
Thanks, brutha.
Window problem is SOLVED thanks to another Nathan Carter post on BF.c
(guy has unknowingly bailed me out with helpful posts when I search almost more than you have, DW).
For you coupe owners: if you need to reset the auto window drop/raise, simply hold the window button in the up position for 20 seconds.
Just tried it and everything is now right with the world. :roundel
Lol-- they're coming my friend. Uploading to PB as we speak.... err, or uh type...
Btw, David-- Mats are from Bav auto ($25 each I think). Just bought them last week and that's the first time using them. Had some close calls with the 325-- don't want to take any chances with the ZHP.
Just for you, Casey

Your engine bay looks sweet! I love the fact that they're factory Performance parts and they really add to the car. Nice parts!
It's too cold to take the hats off.
It's been 7 days....what has a strut bar made you feel other than warm? :D I've been told it's only for looks and helping to prevent strut tower mushrooming if you hit something hard on the road. Does it actually make the chassis feel a bit stiffer?
I believe only the track guys can answer this question. There's no way I drive aggressively enough on the streets to answer this question.
I have it for looks. If there is some minuscule performance benefit, all the better.
With a BMW there's always a 'feeling' when you change something no matter how small it is...a BMW driver will feel it! If he has the force he'll feel it just as he starts backing out of his garage. LOL
