Today we ventured to Monteagle taking the old Dixie Hwy. Round trip 1 hour 15 minutes but, I wont bore you with all of that. Just the 1200 foot climb in under 5 miles.

This is a gorgeous drive!
Thanks guys, had to give up the city checker board and everything near by but, these roads make up for it. Now if I could just get the wife to like it as much as I do.

If you have some time on your hands, this is the full video of the ride along the Cumberland Plateau up the mountain and back.

Guy,
Why does your car have an antenna??? I thought all E46 sedans had them in the "grid" on the back window?
Actually in the truck, the car was tucked away in the garage. We were going shopping and that's never good for the ZHP. Once it worms up and the trees start budding, I'm planning on redoing it in the ZHP. Thanks for watching.
Ah. Gotcha.
Thanks for sharing. Makes me miss my gopro
Come to think of it, I haven't touched my GoPro since my last track day in June... I think it's about time I busted it out for the next winter storm. :biggrin
Damn Sunday Driver::) needed gas for the first time since 11/9/2013 so, I headed into town last Sunday and

First one for today with a very nice ride from Normandy, TN to Wartrace, TN. When I get to Wartrace I go by a restored Texaco station, that I've heard belongs to Toby Keith.

The ride continues from Wartrace and through the next R/R town of Bell Buckle, TN.

These are gorgeous videos! How do you like the GoPro, btw? I've been on the fence about getting one since they came out...worth getting a discount on the Hero 3 or waiting until a new comes out with 4k at higher fps and other upgrades?
Thanks,
Yes I like the GoPro and I believe the Black is capable of the 4K but your limited to what Vimeo or YouTube allow you to upload. The editing software that comes with the GoPro is good but has some limitations. I upgraded to PowerDirector 12 Ultimate that makes editing quick and painless. The one thing that's not that great on the GoPro is the remote and Iphone app. It works great but, destroys the camera battery life. I managed my way around that by setting up a one touch button that is like an on/off switch with everything set.
Heading down to the lake with my truck and the main reason I added the Toyota to the fleet. One of the few things I don't want the ZHP to do for me.

OK guy's, this is about half my drive to Cool Springs Cars n Coffee yesterday and I know they're a little long and may be boring for some but, the end of Part 2 is the final destination. Spring is here in Tennessee with the trees in blossom and a partly cloudy blue sky, the GoPro did well on some of the best roads in the country.
Next up will be the ride home with a detour up into some of the back hills and roads mainly traveled by pick'em up trucks.

Heading south out of Sewanee down the mountain on Jump Off Road to Chattanooga, TN. Truly amazing how the seasonal tree growth changes from early spring to full summer in less than ten minutes.

I used 3.5 X Speed multiplier, had to keep it interesting covering a lot of miles, glad you enjoyed it.
Had some fun today running some of my favorite back hills but, messed up the video and ended up driving on the left. The ZHP looks looks like it's home sick. I know it's a long one but, it's worth checking out a few minutes of the wrong side back hills run.

Tennessee Dragon Part 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 & 9. We took the ride up, turned around and headed back the same route. All but some of the very last section on the way back was captured on with the GoPro. Each of the clips are 5 minutes long and the real action doesn't start till Part 4. I will post more once published.
