Weather today said nothing about thunderstorms. Was in a meeting, no windows, isolated shower. Got to it about half way through. The inside is clean, [emoji44].
The cup holder was full. There was 1.5 inch water in the rear foot wells.
I swear the inside is clean.
I seem to have lost the phone SOS function according to the dash.

Oh, no. Hopefully there are no side effects.
Well there is, the USB plug and line-in 3.5mm female jack in the center console no longer function.
Plus I have the SOS No Phone fault on startup.
Bummer to not have the music anymore.
I am looking at fuses,
And either TCU, or bad Mulf2 High settings. May need to be coded. I will have to dig back in the trunk area for the Mulf-2 unit.
Today after driving home from work, I looked back in the foot well and saw standing water so I pulled the wet vac out again and sucked another ~ liter of water.
I out the fan on it overnight again and place 2 humidity absorbing packs back there.

So far, no blown fuses. I did discover a couple of inches of water in the be trunk area, below the subfloor. And that is close to the tcu unit.

How did the water get in there? This is in the trunk, below the subfloor. The trunk was closed! I am thinking between the rear seats and the trunk?
Anyway, right there is the TCU, between the rear seats and the trunk.
Looking for replacements but will need coding...

Went through every 5A fuse in there (i read somewhere on the internets that the TCU is on a 5 Amp fuse), and they are all good.
So next is to take apart the rear seat assembly to take TCU out, see if it has power...

The TCU is always on, I can hear it. So it is getting power. I guess it maybe fried.
Needless to say car is in the sun a lot and the inside is now dry.
I just bought a used TCU, the SN is off by 2, made in same city, same software and hardware for sure. It will have to be coded to the car for any sort of communication to occur.
Hoping this is all that was busted by that torrential downpour with top wide open to the skies.

Good progress here. When do you plan to have the TCU coded?
My regular mechanic does coding.
But In my haste to find something wrong to fix, I did not see the other metal box right below the TCU.
That one has a Bluetooth sign on it and I bet will need replacement as well!

I received the TCU and plugged it in. I couldn't connect one plug, the blue one on the front because that TCU doesn't have a spot for it. But on startup, the message that used to appear about not having SOS telephone sign is gone!
Still no BT. I could try your unit John. Where does it come from? My e93 was built in Nov 2009.

Sorry - just seeing this. I'm away from home & will check tomorrow. I got it for the E46 so it might be older than that used in the E90.
