    Street Edge Coilovers

Didn't come up with anything in a search, but I'm curious to hear the mafia's opinion on these. I'm looking for a drop w/o negatively affecting performance. These are cheaper than a cup kit even. Will these perform equally or better than the stock ZHP suspension?

"The springs have a chrome like finish"

Not sure I ensorse this statement. I can see this getting rusty and nasty. Maybe not though.

A lot of interesting stuff going on in that thread. One guy mentions rust on the shock bodies after 5 months, and complained the ride was too soft up front. Another had had zero rust living right next to the beach.

Additionally, in two instances, the helper springs were installed differently. One set was shipped with them on top, and the other set was shipped with them on the bottom. The "Suspension Guy" says his shop recommends they be installed on top (He does not add a reason), but imho, they should be installed on the bottom, as I would think you would want the main spring to be next to the shock mount.

This is how my old set of FK's were shipped (helper springs on bottom) from ECS. I installed them this way with zero issues.

Alot of conflicting posts about noise as well. Thats why I posted it on here, to see if any of you guys had given them a shot. The price is really attractive b/c I'm looking for a bit of a drop. I wouldn't expect a huge gain, if any, in performance w/ $500 coilovers, but I don't want to sacrifice any performance either.

Not to derail, but from past experience....Coil systems that cost under $800/900 are typically short lived Chinese trash

Again, just speaking from personal experience on multiple systems on two E46 cars. Buyer beware and all..

I have been running on BC Racing "BR-series" coilovers for over three years now on my ///M and recently put these on my ZHP. I haven't had any issues running on these coilovers up here on the New England roads or driving through New Jersey/New York where there have been some rough spots. For $1k coilovers, these have held up very well and provide a great feel for the road. I have driven them in the snow with the ///M and no coorosion so far. Something to consider.

DDM's were one of the kits I had. Sold em out after I bought em before I even installed them because of all the horror stories I read after I purchased them. Seriously! Never took em out the box, just posted them up on e46fanatics and got rid of them quick!
