Interior Door Arm Rest/Seat Belt Scratching Ideas

    Hi Guys,

I was wondering if any of you had any novel ideas to prevent scratching of the door arm rests from getting scratched by the seatbelt. This is a design flaw that whenever the seatbelt is not in use, the buckle comes into direct contact with the arm rests and scratches them. I just bought a new set of arm rests for my car and would like to keep them looking that way. Any ideas? I've thought of some sort of rubber band system to keep the buckle further up the belt.

No, one could just hook the seal belt onto the side latch for the seat.Problem solved.

Mine doesn't make contact. If yours is making contact (assuming windows closed here), it's not positioned properly.
It's a hard plastic; the seat belt making contact with it shouldn't be causing any significant damage to the pillar.
