    HK subwoofer amp

My '03 ZHP has the standard HK premium ICE system. Recently subwoofers started making loud popping sounds even when head unit was powered off. Disconnected the amp at the connector and the popping stopped. Rest of the system is functioning normally.

I'm guessing the subwoofer amp is failing. Replacement from Penske Parts is a whopping $450. So I'm looking for a good used amp from any of you who may have one lying around. Quote me a price and we'll go from there. Alternatively, if you know where I can get my amp repaired, or a place selling rebuilt units, please let me know.

    thanks in advance!

    I love my ZHP!

Not sure. GL w/it. Try looking on outpost.com, sometimes they have good info (more so w/ NAV, but they may have info on that too).

$45- would be an absolute rip-off for replacing a tiny amp. I don't know how many channels the stock amp has, or it's ohm load, but I'd bet my favorite pair of shoes that you can get a better amp than the stock one for < $100. GL, keep us posted.
