Yes! Going back to the dealer tomorrow. It has been stinking really a lot in the cabin, so that VCG job failed. If you look up above I mentioned a new guys was doing the job and was taking his time (being trained I guess), and mentioned this could be good or bad. Well the result is that it was not a good VCG job.

The shop manager I talked to to setup this second appointment tomorrow probably realized that and told me he would have a loaner ready for me on my 14 year old car!

    Will keep you guys updated.

So, there was a crack in my valve cover, and I had to pay for the part (not the install).
I didn't try to argue with the shop person since there was no way to know if they may have caused the crack during the Vanos job last week because I was honest and told him that i did smell oil burning more and more lately BEFORE they did the Vanos. He could have been cool and ignore my comment, but he didn't and I paid.
I will report back to see if my leak has stopped.

    I drove a 2024 white X3 6.3 miles today!

Good to hear labor was free! You can't go wrong with a new VC.

What do you think about the loaner? We love our 2020 X3.

I couldn't feel much sensations and was in the city each way. I liked the comfort and the quiet. It's very high compared to my 328 and it was not easy to see where I was parking. But in tight spaces, this view from above was pretty cool. Lots of goodies and technology in there. I liked it!
