The rest of the X3 panels read between 3 to 8 mils. Only the hood is high, around 13 mils.

The starter failed some days ago at 120k miles. This happened when we stopped by to visit my sister. Luckily the X3 was parked on a good spot outside her house. We had it towed the next day to my Indy. The towing was interesting. I asked for a flat bed truck, but the driver could not put the X3 on neutral. Then he called another tow truck to do the job. Apparently you need to remove the belly pan to put the X3 in neutral. This was a $710 repair. The tow truck was covered under my AAA membership.

I replaced the 4 TPMS sensors on my 2011 F25 X3 recently. This is a summary of my experience.
Three months ago, we started to see this message sporadicaly: "Tire Pressure Monitor malfunction: drive moderately. System unable to detect tire pressure loss". After resetting the TPMS system, the warning went away for some days and then came back.
I asked Discount Tire to replace the sensors and they used the Schraeder brand. Their price was $240 OTD. I had a prev good experience with them: some years ago they replaced the 4 sensors on my 2008 Saab and everything went fine. But this time the sensors could not be reset on the X3. I tried multiple times without success.
I decided to buy another set specific for this vehicle (P/N 36106874829) and found the best price on TPMS (dot) com. I paid $156 with USPS standard shipping. They provided a tracking # and the package arrived on the 2nd day. The box says "BHSens Intellisens. TPMS is programmed and ready to install." This pic shows what I received.
Finally, I stopped by DT for a refund and to install my new sensors at the same time. I paid $77 for the labor but I believe it would be free if I had bought my tires with them. My final cost was $233 OTD. The X3 TPMS system reset successfully in less than 2 min.
Hope this helps someone out there.
