Yeah, theres always options out there to keep the interior cool. In my old 1996 VW Harlequin Golf, the previous owner machined his own 100% fully billet aluminum shift knob that, while good looking, was extremely hot to the touch. I would share the same sentiment as the person who originally brought the question/potential issue up. I wouldn't want to brand myself! haha

Thanks John! Put in my order for an AutoSolutions ssk today. Ron told me I'm on the May production line so I will be upgrading the shifter this summer as well. I also test fitted my GC camber kit to my Bilstein coilovers and everything fit perfectly. Lots of work going to get done to my ZHP this year...

Handle looks good. Always some nostalgia bringing out a component from your first BMW.

Which % reduction did you go with for the AutoSolutions SSK? I've heard nothing but great things about their SSKs.

Hahaha reminds me how I gave my friend the original shift knob from my car, for his 5-spd 320. That's nostalgia (and a missing gear) alright

I'm interesting in your impressions once you get it (and hopefully with lots of photos .) It's got such a legendary reputation.
