    By the way, while running, holding the left knob down until the test display shows will still reset the trip meter... or at least mine did. I will check mine this afternoon.

    It only does that if you let go of the knob BEFORE the tests kick in (on mine).
    I can go through all the tests and my trip meter is not reset.

    Here's what I figured out about that -

    Holding the button down appears to reset the trip meter immediately, and if you let go while it's displaying 000.0mi, it will confirm the reset. If, however, you wait until it switches into test mode before releasing the button, then it realizes that you weren't trying to reset and the current mileage will be restored when you exit test mode.

    I'll check my voltages over lunch and report back!

    Huh, went back to my car and sure enough the trip meter did not reset, I did notice it go to 0 miles, but then once the tests came up I never looked at the mileage again.
