    Bazooka tubes and HK

I found some info on e46... Someone mentioned a bazooka tube would be able to run off the HK amp and give a cost effective solution to adding some punch to an otherwise stock system.

    Has anyone tried this?

I had one in a few of my jeeps back in the day. I have an infinity basslink now in the ZHP (same principle as the zooka tubes). I just don't feel like it gives the sub enough power to cut through the rear seats when the trunk is empty but thats just me. If I load up my trunk with photo gear and bags - it pounds.

Does it tie in easily off the HK amp?

well mine goes through my dynavin. I think if you don't have that sub preout they tap the rear 6x9's for a signal.

So I guess my question is will the bazooka run off the existing amp?

Also, does the bazooka replace the HK subs, or just add to them?

possibly. i think it depends on which bazooka you get. Some run off the amp, some already are amped so you just need a signal.

If you want to use the amp to power the tube you will need to choose between 6x9's and the tube. You only have some much power to go around.

Good comment. I didn't realize there were different models per se.

I know some use the bass link, but it seems to be particular where it can be mounted, and takes up a bit of space. The tube seems more versatile.

Any other "satellite" systems that play nice with our HK ?
