Dang. Hope the photos show this time around.

A long overdue post.
I was cleaning out the garage and came across some left-over car polish so since the garage had room I did a quick polish. The headlights were polished a couple years ago but it was already looking tired so that got a sanding and seal as well.
Before (just underneath the tape):
After:
Before and after headlight:
I had the Cerakote headlight lens kit, but the chemical de-oxidizer insufficient. I ended up using a left over 3M kit with the drill sanding pad. 500 grit, 800 grit, then 1200 grit. After sanding I used some left over polish before cleaning it and sealing it with the Cerakote product. Hope it lasts a bit longer than the random clear-coat rattle can I used last time. Turned out alright. One of these days I'll replace the rubber trim on top of the headlight.
Turned out pretty good for left-over / old polish products.

No pics yet. I always use the "Insert Image" icon on my laptop. It works unless the pics need to be resized.

I use Mobil 1 synthetic. Easy to find and cheap.
I had planned on doing an oil change after the valve cover gasket job, but haven?t gotten around to it yet.
Been busy caring for my mom (91!!!). She?s been bed-hopping. Going from her assisted living facility to the ER/hospital, then to a skilled nursing facility and now to a Board and Care.
Anyways, back to our regularly scheduled thread?
Q: Does it really matter which kind of Mobil 1 as long as it?s the correct weight? (European formula, Extended Interval, 10,000 mile etc).
