Going to ship a couple of 135s with tires, but I don't know how much a 225/40/18 tire mounted on a front 135 weighs. Anyone know?

135Ms are roughly 26 lbs each, & I think most tires are in the area of 20-ish lbs each, too.

I don't think it's going to matter. Because of the size they are going to charge you based on Dimensional Weight. See:

Let me know what you find as I might be shipping some soon and I need that data. Also, given the choice, don't go UPS. I learned that their insurance company is notorious for denying almost all their shipping damage claims, so getting insurance is meaningless. I had first had experience and subsequently stories came out.

Thanks for the responses -
A few years ago I bought a herd of AC Schnitzer type III 17" for my E36 (without tires, though) and had them shipped from the east coat to San Francisco by Greyhound - that was the cheapest way - I am now running the ACS on my ZHP, since I have only three viable 135's and one oblong one..... as a matter of fact, my car seems more responsive on 17's.
