phew!, holy holy holy. I remembered I actually have those stripped screw removers. So broken hand and all, I managed to get the rest of the plug out. Just get a new plug tomorrow at the dealer and that's it.

I almost had a meltdown there for a few minutes.

I was poking around inside a wrecked E46 sedan at a salvage yard just yesterday.

Fwiw to anyone, it had what seemed to be a decent left/driver side xenon assembly. Also a decent non-sport gray leather interior.

PM me and if I go back out there I'll see if it has the UGDO or at least the connector in question.

I did nothing for my ZHP today, but I did remove the intake manifold and replace #1,2, and 3 cylinder coil packs in my wife's Mazda Tribute.

Thanks again, Ford engineers for hiding the back three coils/plugs under the intake manifold.

LMAO...I bet that was fun. Trade it in on an e46 perhaps?

^ Funny you should mention-- I tried that already. My south jersey girl likes her 4wd suv. Maybe an X5 some day...

And yeah, it was entertaining. Any time engine maintenance involves a bungee cord, you know you're having fun.

If the passenger side zenons are still in great shape, take it. There's a local guy here who is selling his driver side zenons in CL. Do not know if it is pre or after facelift though....
