Destroyed my seats with Magic Eraser. Cleaned all the glass with Windex and Lint free paper towels. Removed my back seat and cleaned out all the junk in my trunk. Pulled and trashed all three floor mats, because I only have three...and they are in extremely shitty condition. Overall, have a nice tan and a clean car...even if my seats are coming apart, more than they were before I attempted this. And I cleaned my sills and door jambs. They were filthy. I just used Windex to do that...Cause IDGAF.

    ^hahahahaha you crack me up

I just placed a big order at detailedimage.com for a porter orbital buffer, a couple pads, and some meguiars products.. all a part of a big package. $230 (i guess well spent) but probably not. I've been keeping my eye on doing VANOS, headlight lenses, and an alarm (Since i park my car at school now..and the garage i park in is known for break ins)

oh wel...maybe in a couple more weeks i can order those. I already have a few people wanting details.. so hopefully this stuff will pay for itself

Nice; let me know how this goes. I might do the same. What's the cost so far?

It maybe could have waited till it got more frequent but I guess I'm just too picky about any issues on the ZHP.

Installed a new Interstate 94R ($120, perfect fit) and so far so good. I've only had a chance to test it one time so far but the light didn't come on when I drove it yesterday. I'll make a thread in the "Mechanical" section after I get to check it a few more times to confirm it's truly fixed.

Never had any other indications that the battery might be getting tired, still showing the green dot. It was the original battery though, date code on top of the negative post is 17-04 (17th week of 2004).

I wish I would have found that thread before replacing the sensor. Anybody interested in a used oil level sensor?

That could be just coincidence though. Kris had some other issues with his though too while for me it was just the oil level light. My old battery, after sitting for one day shows 12.66 volts, while the new one after a charge and sitting for 8 hours showed 13.13 volts. So it doesn't take much to cause issues.
So that didn't cure it either. To be honest, I kinda had my doubts that .5 volts would be enough to trigger a low voltage glitch like this.

I've noticed that when I get the light if I shut the car off and re-start or even just turn the ignition back on makes the light go out. I need to go for a longer first drive of the day and re-confirm my observation that it doesn't do it at shut down, only after short drives.

I can't imagine it would be another bad sensor since it does the exact same thing it did before changing out the original one.

Anyone else ever heard of some other cause for the low oil level light to come on? Oil level is right in the middle of the mark.

    BP, PM sent.

Also let my ZHP rest in the garage today while I met a fellow ZHP Mafia member in Newport. He let me take his "twin-screw" ZHP out for a spin. All I can say is....OMG! If I don't give my daughter my ZHP then I'll be adding a twin-screw supercharger and LSD to my ZHP sometime in the future...

Those of you in the Tampa Bay area, be sure to give "prowlerflyer" a very warm welcome when he transfers there sometime next year! Awesome person to know.
